Manager, Investigator, FC GTT

As a Manager, Investigator in the Financial Crime Global Trade and Wholesale Lending Investigation Team at HSBC, your role will involve: - Being part of a skilled team responsible for investigating Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) cases related to Trade Fraud, Trade Based Money Laundering, and first-party lending fraud. - Reviewing and analyzing cases triggered by the Global Trade Solutions (GTS) systems using available bank systems and intelligence databases to assess for financial crime risks. - Conducting detailed analysis of customer relationships to identify any anomalies or risk indicators related to Money Laundering and first-party lending fraud. - Writing investigative narratives with clear rationale and evidence to support conclusions. - Escalating any anomalies or risk indicators for further investigation to a Senior Investigator. - Collaborating with the Senior Investigator to perform full investigations, including analysis of trade transactions and documents, financial analysis, etc. - Investigating and resolving issues or escalating them with recommendations to the Line Manager. - Sharing case experiences within the team to provide insights for informed decision-making. - Adhering to internal controls, relevant procedures, and compliance policies to manage compliance risk effectively. Qualifications required for this role include: - Graduate or Post-Graduate in Business Management, Economics, Commerce, Technology, Mathematics, or equivalent. - Additional certifications in Compliance, Anti-Money Laundering, or Fraud related fields would be advantageous (e.g., CA / CS). - 3-5 years of relevant experience in financial crime cases using intelligence and analytical tools. - Strong analytical skills to efficiently analyze large amounts of data, draw conclusions, and take necessary actions. - Excellent relationship management, communication, presentation, and influencing skills to engage multiple stakeholders effectively.
