Manager-Direct Tax

You will be joining BDO India LLP as a Manager in the Direct Tax department located in Gurgaon. In your role as a Manager in Direct Tax at BDO India, you will have the following core responsibilities: - Assist in preparing and filing corporate income tax returns. - Help in computing monthly withholding tax liability and prepare and file quarterly withholding tax statements. - Support in preparing lower withholding tax applications. - Provide corporate tax advisory services including judicial analysis, analyzing withholding tax implications of proposed transactions, and reviewing contracts from a direct tax perspective. - Handle corporate tax litigation by preparing objections for filing with Dispute Resolution Panel (DRP), appeals before Commissioner of Income Tax (Appeals) (CIT (A)), and related proceedings. - Assist in preparing appeals for filing before Income Tax Appellate Tribunal (ITAT) and related proceedings. - Help in preparing applications for filing before the authority of advance ruling. - Prepare submissions for penalty proceedings, stay proceedings, and TDS prosecution proceedings. - Assist in representing before tax officers during assessment and re-assessment proceedings.
