Job Description:

1. Literature:

1. Search and compile literature for preparation of search reports, as directed by Group leader / Team leader / Project leader
2. Collect literature about new developments, source of raw materials etc. especially on topics directly related to the projects and provide feedback to Group leader / Team leader / Project leader

2. Experimentation:

1. Ordering of raw  materials/ reagents as directed by Group leader / Team leader / Project leader
2. Designing/ planning of experiments in consultation with Group leader / Team leader / Project leader
3. Conducting, experiments
4. Routine monitoring of experiments provide feedback to Group leader / Team leader / Project leader and sort out problems through consultations and discussions with them.

3. Analysis and interpretation of data

1. Submit  materials for analysis and compilation of analytical data
2. Interpretation and characterization of data
3. Analysis/interpretation of analyzed samples

4. Documentation:

1. Preparation of literature search reports, SLP’s, flow chars, DCI/FDA applications etc.
2. Recording of experiments into Research protocol
3. Gathering information/ ordering of material regarding safety and hazard aspects

5. Scale-up activity:

1. Reviewing of BMR’s
2. Scale-up planning and executing in consultation with Group leader / Team leader / Project leader liaison with PD & Production
3. Provide feedback on scale-up activities to Group leader / Team leader / Project leader
4. Trouble shooting : During scale-ups in consultation with Group leader / Team leader / Project leader
5. Training of PD/ Prodn. personnel about process
6. Preparation of Technology transfer documents

7. Laboratory management:  Upgradation/ Improvements

1. Maintenance requirements of equipment
2. Organizing of lab. equipment and  general maintenance of etiquette

Job Requirements

Educational Qualification

M.Sc – Organic Chemistry OR PhD in Organic Chemistry

Experience

Tenure : M.Sc – minimum 10 years / PhD – 5 years
