Job Role: Network engineer Type: Permanent Location: Kozhikode, Kerala Roles and Responsibilities Responsible for installing and setting up routers, firewalls, switches, and wireless access points to establish a robust network infrastructure. Configure network devices to ensure optimal performance, security, and efficient data flow. Manage and maintain ISP network equipment to guarantee seamless internet connectivity for the organization. Implement IT security systems, including firewalls, wireless equipment, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus software, to protect against cyber threats. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess network requirements and propose solutions. Troubleshoot hardware and network devices to identify and resolve technical issues promptly. Monitor network performance, analyze logs, and implement improvements to optimize network efficiency. Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate potential risks. Maintain documentation of network configurations, equipment inventory, and security policies. Assist in the planning and execution of network expansion projects. Respond to network-related emergencies and provide on-call support as needed. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend enhancements to the network infrastructure. Train and provide guidance to end-users on network and security best practices. Collaborate with vendors and service providers for equipment procurement and support.
