Maintenance Technician

Qualification : Diploma/ ITI Electrical

Experience : min 2-3 years of experience in hospital field

Location: Thrikkakara

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of hospital equipment, utilities, and infrastructure.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, medical gas pipelines, and other essential hospital services.
• Monitor and maintain generators, lifts, water supply systems, firefighting systems, and other critical equipment.
• Assist in the maintenance and repair of non-medical equipment such as laundry machines, kitchen equipment, and sterilization units.
• Respond promptly to breakdown calls and emergency maintenance requests.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, service reports, and spare parts inventory.
• Follow hospital safety policies, infection control protocols, and ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with biomedical engineering, housekeeping, and other support departments for smooth facility operations.
• Assist in facility audits and inspections to support compliance with NABH and other regulatory standards.

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Strong hands-on knowledge in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Experience in hospital facility troubleshooting and emergency response.
• Good communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Basic computer proficiency for documentation and reporting purposes.

Qualification & Experience:

• ITI or Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or a related trade.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant maintenance experience, preferably in a hospital or healthcare facility.
• Familiarity with hospital safety standards, infection control, and equipment regulations as per NABH guidelines is an added advantage.
