JOB DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE: Maintenance Engineer Role Type: Individual Contributor / People Manager Purpose of the role: To upkeep machinery and ensure machine availability Responsibilities: Assist maintenance technicians in maintenance and troubleshooting of maintenance system which includes Different types of pumps, Pneumatics, Hydraulic system, Electrical system Understand and trouble shoot Mechanical drawings, Pneumatic Circuits, Hydraulic circuits, electrical drawings, Control circuits, Assemble and install electrical panels, other electrical components, accessories. Respond quickly to all cross functional department maintenance issues on daily basis, and ensure the production machines are running smoothly without problem. Carry out breakdown analysis, find out root cause & implement corrective actions. Identify leading and lagging KPIs for the department, strive for improving the department KPIs like: MTBF, MTTR, Availability. Installation and Commissioning of mechanical machines, able to understand the safety requirement while performing heavy work. Dismantling and assembly of machines during breakdowns, able to understand and recognize the different mechanical system include in the machine, carry the job safely Understand the requirement and able to design the pneumatic and hydraulic circuits as and when required. Work with Workmen and CFT team to execute the project related to department and organization and complete the projects within stipulated timeline. Demonstrate leadership quality and follow the systems and guidelines framed by the company within the code of conduct to achieve the organization goals and targets Monitor and analyze the Maintenance KPIs, arrive route causes for lagging KPIs, implement preventive actions, generate reports on monthly and weekly basis Identify, execute and lead the projects in the department, Focused approach towards completion of projects and work with team to complete the projects. Involve in machine modification, upgradation of machines to a latest technology to improve the machine life cycle and achieve the maximum output from the machine Co-ordinate with vendors, external agencies on day-to-day activity, ensure smooth handling of contractors to complete the work. Installation, Commissioning and troubleshooting of industrial drives, thyristor power packs, counters, timers, temperature controllers, PLCs, printed circuit boards, relays, contactors, breakers, Regulated power supply units, servo motors, stepper motors, servo drives, encoders, and sensors Knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 45001 & ISO 50001 Standards. Support proactively on EHS activities, procedures and policies Metrics: Machine availability Energy consumption and energy cost Repair and maintenance cost Competencies: Good communication skill, Live with SKF Values, Strong in Hydraulics and Pneumatics, Draw & Understand Engineering Drawings, CMMS, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 & ISO 50001 Energy Management.
