Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Preventive Maintenance Planning & Execution
Develop, review, and execute preventive maintenance (PM) plans for all critical machines (e.g., welding machines, cutting machines, assembly equipment), utilities (compressed air, pumps), and structural fabrication equipment.
Schedule routine inspections and servicing to minimize breakdowns.
Use or maintain a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for scheduling and tracking maintenance tasks.
Reactive / Corrective Maintenance
Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns or failures.
Diagnose faults (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic) through troubleshooting.
Repair or replace failed components, restoring equipment to working condition.
Coordinate with external vendors / OEMs for specialized repairs when required.
Reliability Improvement & Predictive Maintenance
Analyze equipment performance (e.g., using MTBF, downtime trends) to identify weak points.
Propose and implement reliability improvement initiatives (root cause analysis, failure mode analysis).
Explore predictive maintenance techniques (vibration analysis, thermography) as per business maturity.
Spare Parts Management
Identify, maintain, and optimize inventory for critical spare parts.
Forecast spare part needs, work with procurement for stocking.
