Maintenance Electrician

As an electrician, you will be responsible for executing plans of electrical wiring to ensure the proper functioning of lighting, intercom, and other electrical systems. You will install electrical apparatus, fixtures, and equipment for alarm and other systems, as well as safety and distribution components such as switches, resistors, and circuit-breaker panels. It will be your duty to connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks while ensuring the compatibility of components. Additionally, you will prepare and assemble conduits and connect wiring through them to establish efficient electrical connections. To prevent breakdowns of systems, you should routinely inspect and replace old wiring and insulated cables, as well as clean circuits. You will also be required to perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair or substitute damaged units. The ideal candidate for this role should have proven experience as an electrician, with a background in industrial and/or commercial electrical systems. You should demonstrate the ability to use electrical and hand tools, such as wire strippers and voltmeters, as well as read and interpret electrical drawings and blueprints. A thorough knowledge of safety procedures, legal regulations, and guidelines is essential for this position. Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills are necessary to effectively address any electrical issues that may arise. Moreover, you should be in excellent physical condition and possess the flexibility to work long shifts and overnight hours. A diploma in relevant vocational training or the successful completion of an apprenticeship as an electrician is required for this role. This is a full-time position that offers food as a benefit.
