We are looking for a Team Member in Instrumentation section for coordinating breakdown activities, Improvement activities, preventive maintenance schedules, overseeing external contractors, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. They will review production operations, train team members, manage spare parts inventory, and lead troubleshooting efforts to minimize downtime. Additionally, they will maintain budgets, support technical activities, and ensure regulatory compliance, contributing to the efficient and reliable operation of instruments, equipment and facilities. Roles & Responsibilities Coordinate with cross-functional team members to ensure improvement activities, preventive maintenance schedules are carried out in SAP, maintain necessary records, and plan preventive maintenance activities, including PMPs, breakdowns, and maintenance activities according to defined frequencies. Oversee the handling of external contractors and agencies, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards during maintenance operations. Review production operation instructions such as work instructions (WI) and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure their implementation and adherence to quality standards. Train and assist team members during troubleshooting and breakdowns of machines, as well as during the commissioning of new equipment, to enhance their technical skills and capabilities. Manage spares inventory for all instrument spare parts, conduct balance investigations, and implement inventory control measures to ensure availability of necessary parts. Lead troubleshooting efforts for all instrumentation relatedbreakdowns, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime. Plan and consolidate maintenance budgets for the assigned area/unit, ensuring expenses are within budgeted amounts and optimizing cost-effectiveness. Maintain spares for process equipment by coordinating with OEMs, external vendors, and supply chain management to ensure timely availability of equipment. Ensure timely closure and completion of all assigned corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) to address maintenance issues and improve operational efficiency. Provide support for technical and documentation activities at the site as directed by the Section Head, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Prepare, update, and maintain all documents necessary for audits, including SOPs, formats, PM books, protocols, and machine history books, to ensure compliance with GMP and cGMP standards. Implement Good Engineering Practices at the site to maintain the reliability, safety, and efficiency of instruments, equipment and facilities. Qualifications Educational Qualification Diploma or Bachelor's in Engineering Minimum Work Experience 8-10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry with a focus on maintenance and engineering. Skills & Attributes Technical Skills Prior experience in maintenance and engineering roles preferred. Strong understanding of preventive maintenance practices and procedures. Proficiency in SAP or similar maintenance management systems. Ability to lead troubleshooting efforts and implement corrective actions effectively. Knowledge of regulatory requirements, including GMP and cGMP standards. Behavioral Skills Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Equipment Reliability and Uptime Optimization Analyze equipment performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance equipment reliability and uptime. Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) of equipment failures to identify underlying causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Implement reliability engineering principles and practices to improve equipment design, maintenance procedures, and operating practices. Monitor equipment condition using techniques such as vibration analysis, thermography, and oil analysis to detect potential problems early. Develop and implement corrective actions to address equipment failures and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE). Work with vendors and suppliers to source high-quality replacement parts and ensure timely delivery. Spares Inventory Management Manage the inventory of spare parts for all foundry equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels to support maintenance activities. Develop and implement a spares inventory management system to track inventory levels, usage, and reorder points. Identify and source spare parts from reliable vendors, negotiating favorable pricing and delivery terms. Conduct regular audits of the spares inventory to ensure accuracy and identify obsolete or excess inventory. Implement strategies to optimize spares inventory levels, reducing carrying costs while ensuring availability of critical parts. Collaborate with the purchasing department to streamline the procurement process for spare parts. Maintenance Team Supervision and Development Supervise and mentor a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure their success. Schedule and assign work to maintenance technicians, ensuring efficient utilization of resources and timely completion of tasks. Conduct performance evaluations of maintenance technicians, providing feedback and identifying areas for improvement. Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of maintenance technicians. Promote a culture of safety within the maintenance team, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Foster teamwork and collaboration within the maintenance team and with other departments. Maintenance Budgeting and Cost Control Develop and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and cost-effective maintenance practices. Track maintenance expenses and identify opportunities to reduce costs without compromising equipment reliability. Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers to obtain favorable pricing for maintenance services and spare parts.
