Mainframes Developer

You are a Mainframe Developer with a minimum of 4 years of experience in development and possess good communication skills. Your primary responsibility includes analyzing requirements, understanding the product vision, and assisting in application architecture and solutioning. You will also be involved in analyzing tickets, providing technical approaches, fixing issues, creating/maintaining development artifacts, and supporting release activities. Peer code reviews and unit testing will also be a part of your routine tasks. To be eligible for this role, you must have at least 4 years of relevant experience in Mainframe, COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2, and Natural. Proficiency in tools like Endeavor, File Aid, Xpeditor, and Abend Aid is required. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with experience in coding, testing, and working in a high-volume capacity, are essential. You should have a comprehensive understanding of technical principles and the ability to provide technical solutions to complex problems. Knowledge of both technical and business aspects of application software is necessary, particularly in Mainframe batch processing and the Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance domain. Additionally, having experience in legacy application modernization, working in a Production support model, pulling up reports as scan criteria, and familiarity with Agile Methodology are considered desirable skills.
