Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain applications using
Cobol, JCL, SQL.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
Troubleshoot and resolve application issues and bugs
Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications using Cobol, JCL
Develop, maintain, and support mainframe applications using
COBOL, JCL, and other mainframe technologies.
Design, implement, and optimize
SQL queries and database structures.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
Perform code reviews, testing, and
debugging to ensure high-quality software.
Monitor and improve system performance and reliability.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for mainframe and SQL-related issues.
Document processes, procedures, and technical specifications.
Automate repetitive tasks and improve efficiency.
Ensure codes/documents are well-documented and maintainable.
Design, develop, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions.
Perform database administration tasks, including backups, restores, and performance tuning.
Ensure data integrity and security.
Collaborate with data analysts and other stakeholders to meet data requirements.

Requirements:

Minimum
6+ years' experience with increasing responsibilities and scope using Mainframe + Teradata tools and practices.
Develop, maintain, and support mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, and other mainframe technologies.
Analyze and understand business requirements to design effective technical solutions.
Perform code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality software.
Monitor and improve system performance and reliability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for mainframe-related issues.
Document processes, procedures, and technical specifications.
Develop coding standard and code-reviews.
Manage code deployments.
Complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the field.
Documenting application changes and developing updates.
Ability to provide and implement technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.
Strong customer service focus.
Ability to participate in discussions with all levels of the organization and provide balanced information of an idea or communication of an issue regardless of written or verbal.
Ability to work a flexible schedule to accommodate project deadlines.
Familiarity with software development methodologies such as Agile and Scrum.
