Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain mainframe applications using
COBOL, JCL, DB2, and VSAM
Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Perform coding, testing, debugging, and documentation
Execute batch processing jobs and troubleshoot failures
Support system upgrades, enhancements, and migrations
Interact with business users and other IT teams for issue resolution
Ensure performance, availability, and security of mainframe applications
Participate in code reviews and follow best practices in mainframe development

Key Skills Required:

Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2, and CICS
Experience with tools like Endevor, SPUFI, File-AID, and Xpeditor
Strong understanding of batch processing and mainframe job control
Good debugging and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently or in a team environment
Excellent communication and documentation skills
