Mainframe Lead Developer

Role Overview: As a highly skilled and experienced Mainframe Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team in technical design and implementation within an Agile environment. Your role will involve overseeing the design, development, and implementation of mainframe applications using COBOL and CICS. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of projects. Additionally, you will provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, and ensure adherence to best practices and standards in software development. Participation in Agile ceremonies and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives will also be part of your responsibilities. Key Responsibilities: - Leading and managing a team of mainframe developers and engineers. - Overseeing the design, development, and implementation of mainframe applications using COBOL and CICS. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of projects. - Providing technical guidance and mentorship to team members. - Ensuring adherence to best practices and standards in software development. - Participating in Agile ceremonies and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. - Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues. Qualification Required: - Proficiency in COBOL and CICS. - Experience with JCL (Job Control Language). - Knowledge of DB2 and IMS databases. - Familiarity with VSAM (Virtual Storage Access Method). - Understanding of mainframe security protocols and RACF (Resource Access Control Facility). - Experience with mainframe performance tuning and optimization. - Knowledge of mainframe middleware technologies such as MQSeries. - Familiarity with mainframe testing tools and methodologies.,
