Mainframe Lead Analyst C12 AVP-Chennai/Pune

The Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst position is an intermediate level role where you will be responsible for contributing to the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. Your main objective will be to participate in applications systems analysis and programming activities. As a part of your responsibilities, you will manage development teams in mainframe technology, which includes conducting code reviews, status reviews, and managing delivery expectations. You will be required to be hands-on, code, and design based on user requirements. Additionally, you will recommend system improvements to benefit business users and enhance system stability. You will also provide support for issues that arise in Production and participate in business calls as necessary. It is essential to provide regular status updates to the manager and work with minimal supervision. In terms of qualifications, the ideal candidate should have 12+ years of IT experience and expertise in the Mainframe environment, covering COBOL, DB2, CICS, JCL, and zAPIs. A minimum of 3 years of experience in the banking industry and leading Mainframe development teams is required. Working experience in a multi-tech stack environment with Java front end and mainframe on the backend is advantageous. Effective communication skills and the ability to handle stakeholders in other regions are essential. Exposure to wealth management platforms is a plus, and the willingness to learn new tech stacks in the future is desired as the Citi wealth platform is modernized. The candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
