Job Description

Mainframe Developer

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, test, and maintain mainframe applications using
COBOL, DB2, JCL
, and
CICS
.
Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into reliable and scalable solutions.
Debug and resolve production issues within SLAs, ensuring minimal business disruption.
Work closely with BA, QA, and other developers to ensure quality delivery.
Perform code reviews and ensure compliance with best practices and coding standards.
Support application deployments, provide post-deployment support, and document processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions in a timely and efficient manner.

Required Skills and Experience:

5+ Years
hands-on experience in
Mainframe development
.
Strong expertise in
COBOL
,
DB2
, and
JCL
.
Working knowledge of
CICS
(command level programming, debugging, etc.).
Experience in
batch and online
processing.
Good understanding of
SDLC
methodologies (Agile or Waterfall).
Strong
problem-solving
and
analytical skills
.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
