About Client

Hiring for One of the Most Prestigious Multinational Corporations

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze business requirements and translate them into high-quality technical solutions.
Design, develop, test, and deploy mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, and DB2/VSAM.
Use Endevor for version control, code promotion, and change management.
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues within SLA timelines.
Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing.
Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, and other stakeholders throughout the SDLC.
Optimize existing code for performance improvements and maintainability.
Provide support during system upgrades, patching, and disaster recovery drills.
Maintain technical documentation and ensure compliance with coding standards and best practices.

Required Skills:

6 to 8 years of experience in mainframe application development and support.
Strong hands-on experience with
COBOL
,
JCL
,
Endevor
.
Working knowledge of
DB2
,
VSAM
,
CICS
(if applicable).
Experience with
TSO/ISPF
,
File-AID
,
Abend-AID
, and
Expeditor
.
Understanding of SDLC methodologies (Agile or Waterfall).
Experience in working with job scheduling tools (e.g.,
CA7

Control-M
) is a plus.
Good problem-solving and debugging skills.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
