Role Overview

Magento Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop custom Magento modules and themes.
  
• Develop and maintain Magento-based e-commerce websites.
  
• Customize Magento front-end and back-end components.
  
• Integrate third-party APIs and services with Magento.
  
• Work closely with UI/UX designers to implement clean and responsive interfaces.
  
• Optimize website performance, speed, and scalability.
  
• Troubleshoot and resolve bugs and support issues.
  
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices.
  
• Work independently and manage project timelines effectively.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in Magento 2 development.
  
• Proficient in PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
  
• Strong knowledge of OOP and MVC frameworks.
  
• Experience with custom module and theme development in Magento 2.
  
• Understanding of Magento architecture, caching, indexing, and database structure.
  
• Experience integrating payment gateways, shipping APIs, and third-party services.
  
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
  
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  
• Good communication and time management skills.
  

Nice to Have (Preferred but Not Mandatory)

• Magento certification (Magento 2 Certified Developer)
  
• Experience with Docker or other containerized environments
  
• Exposure to headless Magento or PWA (Progressive Web App) studio
  
• Familiarity with Jira, Trello, or other project management tools
