Machine Shop Supervisor

Position Overview

The Machine Shop Supervisor will oversee daily operations of the machine shop, ensuring efficient production, quality output, and safe work practices. The ideal candidate must have strong experience in tooling, fixture development, CNC operations, and a solid understanding of aluminium die-casting processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of machinists, operators, and support staff.
• Plan, schedule, and monitor machining operations to meet production targets.
• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot tooling, jigs, and fixtures for machining and die-cast components.
• Ensure proper machining of aluminium die-cast parts with attention to dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
• Review engineering drawings and provide manufacturability feedback.
• Conduct root-cause analysis for machining defects and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain machine health through preventive and predictive maintenance planning.
• Optimize machining processes to reduce cycle time and improve productivity.
• Train team members in machining practices, safety procedures, and quality standards.
• Ensure adherence to ISO/TS quality systems and shop floor documentation.
• Coordinate with design, quality, and production teams for continuous improvement.
• Manage inventory of cutting tools, fixtures, consumables, and critical spares.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
