Machine Learning Scientist Intern

As a Machine Learning Scientist Intern at our company, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development of a domain-specific language model using a collection of confidential documents. Your main responsibilities will include: - Designing and fine-tuning language models for specialized domains. - Preparing and managing datasets while upholding strict confidentiality. - Training, evaluating, and optimizing models for text-based tasks. - Developing testing frameworks and assessing model performance against defined metrics. - Documenting methods, findings, and recommendations for future improvements. To qualify for this role, you should be currently enrolled in or recently graduated with a degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field. Additionally, you should have: - A strong background in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Deep Learning. - Proficiency with frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face Transformers, or LangChain. - Familiarity with fine-tuning techniques for large language models (LLMs). - Understanding of data privacy principles and handling sensitive information. - Ability to work independently and deliver results within tight timelines. Preferred skills for this role include experience working with large language models, knowledge of model evaluation and benchmarking techniques for NLP and generative AI, and familiarity with experiment tracking tools for reproducibility.
