Machine Learning Scientist Intern

As a Machine Learning Scientist Intern at our company, you will be responsible for supporting the development of a domain-specific language model using a collection of confidential documents. Your main tasks will include designing and fine-tuning language models, managing datasets with strict confidentiality, training and optimizing models for text-based tasks, developing testing frameworks, and documenting methods and recommendations for future improvements. Key Responsibilities: - Design and fine-tune language models for specialized domains. - Prepare and manage datasets while maintaining strict confidentiality. - Train, evaluate, and optimize models for text-based tasks. - Develop testing frameworks and assess model performance against defined metrics. - Document methods, findings, and recommendations for future improvements. Qualifications: - Currently enrolled in or recently graduated with a degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field. - Strong background in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Deep Learning. - Proficiency with frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face Transformers, or LangChain. - Familiarity with fine-tuning techniques for large language models (LLMs). - Understanding of data privacy principles and handling sensitive information. - Ability to work independently and deliver results within tight timelines. In addition to the above, if you are experienced with large language models, knowledgeable about model evaluation and benchmarking techniques for NLP and generative AI, and familiar with experiment tracking tools for reproducibility, it would be considered as preferred skills.
