We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager - Avionics Engineering to be part of our critical Avionics team. This pivotal role will be responsible for the full integration and understanding of avionics systems, from design to integration, testing, and certification. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise across a range of avionics systems, including Multi-Function Displays (MFDs), Electro-Optical (EO) Payloads, navigation, communication, and mission computing systems, essential for our advanced aerospace platforms. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the Avionics Engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, technical excellence, and collaboration. Drive the design, development, integration, and testing of complex avionics systems for LAT'. Provide technical leadership in the selection, customization, and integration of various avionics sub-systems, including: Multi-Function Displays (MFDs): Including display technology selection, human-machine interface (HMI) design, and integration with flight control and mission systems. Electro-Optical (EO) Payloads: Expertise in integrating IR, visible, and laser systems, stabilization, and data processing for surveillance and targeting applications. Flight Control Systems (FCS) Navigation Systems (GPS, INS, ADHRS) Communication Systems (Datalinks, Radios, SATCOM) Mission Computing and Data Processing Units Power Management and Distribution Systems Aircraft Wiring and Interconnects Develop detailed avionics system architectures, interface control documents (ICDs), and functional specifications. Oversee rigorous testing, verification, and validation of avionics hardware and software, ensuring compliance with aerospace standards (e.g., DO-178C, DO-254, MIL-STD-1553, ARINC 429). Collaborate closely with other engineering disciplines (Aerodynamics, Mechanical, Software, Systems Integration, Flight Test) to ensure seamless system functionality. Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources for avionics-related programs. Liaise with external suppliers, partners, and regulatory bodies (e.g., DGCA, CEMILAC, DRDO) for system development, certification, and compliance. Contribute to technical proposals, white papers, and strategic planning for future avionics capabilities. Mentor and develop junior engineers within the Avionics team.
