Looking for Konkani Language Voice Recording Contributors (Remote)

About the Project

We are working on a language technology initiative aimed at improving AI understanding of the Konkani language. As part of this project, we are looking for fluent Konkani speakers to participate in a short voice data collection task.

Role & Responsibilities

• Record three separate conversational audio sessions in Konkani with a partner (friend or family member).
• Each conversation must be 15 minutes long.
• Conversations should be natural and unscripted, focusing on everyday topics such as:
• Food
• Travel
• Festivals
• Work life
• Childhood memories
• Topics related to politics or religion are not permitted.

Requirements

• Fluency in Konkani (spoken proficiency required).
• Ability to arrange a second fluent Konkani speaker to participate.
• Access to a quiet, noise-free environment for recording.
• Ability to use a mobile app or laptop/PC for audio recording.
• Reliable internet connection.

Time Commitment

• Approximately 45 minutes total recording time.
