Role Description The Technical Superintendent is responsible for ensuring the technical and operational efficiency of the company's fleet of tankers. To oversee all technical aspects of the vessels, from maintenance and repairs to compliance with regulations. Qualifications and Experience: Experience as Technical Supdt in any Management/ ownership company or, MEO Class1 with sailing experience on Oil Tanker / Gas Carrier, or, Senior 2nd Engr with good sailing experience can also apply. Key Responsibilities: Fleet Management: Overseeing the technical condition and performance of the fleet. Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, including flag state, port state, and class society requirements. Monitoring vessel performance and fuel consumption to optimize efficiency. Coordinating drydockings and major repairs. Maintenance and Repairs: Planning and budgeting for maintenance and repairs. Ensuring that maintenance and repairs are carried out efficiently and cost-effectively. Monitoring spare parts inventory and ordering as needed. Technical Support: Providing technical support to shipboard personnel. Investigating and resolving technical issues. Safety and Environmental Compliance: Ensuring that the vessels comply with all safety and environmental regulations. Investigating and addressing safety and environmental incidents. Quality Management: Implementing and maintaining a quality management system. Ensuring that the company's quality standards are met. Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in marine engineering or a related field. Significant experience in the maritime industry, preferably in tanker operations. Strong technical knowledge of marine engineering and equipment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Proficiency in relevant software applications, such as vessel management systems and maintenance planning tools. Additional Considerations: Travel may be required to visit vessels and shipyards.
