Role Overview: We're seeking a Business development Manager with 2+ years of B2B SAAS Business Development experience to help scale our reach across industries like BFSI, Retail, Telecom, Manufacturing, Hospitality, etc. You'll be responsible for end-to-end sales execution — engaging with decision-makers, demonstrating product value, and driving adoption of both core platforms. Key Responsibilities: Own and execute the entire Business Development cycle: prospecting, qualifying leads, product demos, proposal development, and deal closure. Engage and convert enterprise customers such as BFSI, Retail, Telecom, Manufacturing, Hospitality, etc Clearly articulate the ROI and operational value of our Cooling Management Platform and Utility Bill Intelligence Tool to CXOs, facility managers, and sustainability heads. Understand customer pain points and position our platform as a high-ROI energy optimization solution. Work closely with the internal teams (Technical, Operational, Customer Success, Product, and Marketing) to ensure alignment across the customer journey. Maintain an active sales pipeline using CRM tools like HubSpot or Zoho. Keep detailed records of sales activities and use CRM tools to maintain pipeline hygiene and forecasting accuracy. Participate in industry events, webinars, and networking opportunities to grow Living Things' visibility and sales reach. Stay informed about industry trends, energy regulations, and green building certifications (e.g., IGBC, LEED). Ideal Candidate: 2+ years of B2B SAAS Business Development experience in BFSI and Retail Sectors. Proven ability to sell tech-enabled solutions to enterprise-level customers with long sales cycles. Understanding of HVAC systems, utility billing structures, and energy savings metrics (kWh, peak demand, etc.). Strong relationship-building skills with C-suite and operational decision-makers. Ability to communicate complex technical products in a simple, compelling way. Entrepreneurial spirit — self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, early-stage environment. Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Zoho, HubSpot, Salesforce). A passion for sustainability, climate tech, and energy innovation. Skills: Experience working with large Enterprises and closing the deals. Knowledge of carbon accounting, ESG reporting, or green building guidelines. Exposure to AI/ML-powered platforms or energy management systems (EMS/BMS). Experience working in a fast-growing tech or climate-tech startup. Qualifications: Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in related field with 60% aggregate. A Master's degree is a plus. Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of experience in Business Development, preferably in the IoT, energy, or sustainability sectors. Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly. Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze market trends and data to inform strategic decisions.
