Linux System Administration

As a Linux System Administrator at UST, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and secure operation of Linux-based servers. Your responsibilities will include installing, configuring, and maintaining Linux servers to guarantee optimal performance, stability, and security. It will be essential for you to possess expertise in Red Hat, Rocky, or Ubuntu, along with a solid understanding of Windows Server Update Services (WSUS), Windows Deployment Services (WDS), Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), Storage Spaces Direct/HCI, and Proof and Experimental Establishment (PXE). Security management will be a key aspect of your role, involving the implementation and enforcement of security policies, monitoring system logs for suspicious activity, and addressing potential vulnerabilities. You will also be responsible for performance monitoring and optimization, troubleshooting and resolving system issues, managing user accounts and access control, and developing scripts and automation tools to streamline administrative tasks. Additionally, your duties will involve maintaining accurate documentation of server configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps, providing technical support to users and developers on Linux-related issues, configuring and maintaining network interfaces, and managing DNS settings. You should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Linux System Engineering or a related field, with a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
