Job Description

Role Overview: As a Linux System Administrator at UST, your main responsibility will be to ensure the smooth and secure operation of Linux-based servers. This includes tasks such as managing system configurations, performing maintenance, monitoring performance, and implementing security measures. Key Responsibilities: - System Administration: Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers to ensure optimal performance, stability, and security. - Security Management: Implement and enforce security policies, monitor system logs for suspicious activity, and address potential vulnerabilities. - Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Regularly monitor server performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to optimize resource utilization. - Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, respond to user concerns, and escalate problems as needed. - User Management: Manage user accounts, permissions, and access control following security best practices. Knowledge of Linux Auth with LDAP/AD is required. - Scripting and Automation: Develop and use scripts and automation tools to streamline administrative tasks. - Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of server configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps. - Technical Support: Provide technical support to users and developers on Linux-related issues. - Network Configuration: Configure and maintain network interfaces, assign IP addresses, and manage DNS settings. Qualifications: - 5+ years of experience in a relevant field. - Experience in Linux System Administration. - Engineering degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, EE, or equivalent experience. Skills required for this role include Python, Ubuntu Linux, and Redhat.,
