Linux Engineer

The position available is for a skilled and proactive Linux Engineer with a strong background in Linux systems and excellent communication skills. The candidate should have a minimum of 5-10 years of experience in the field. Expertise in areas such as Storage systems (Isilon, NetApp, Pure), Backup solutions (Commvault), Virtualization platforms (VMware), or Hyperconverged infrastructure (Nutanix) is highly desirable. The primary responsibility will involve maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing enterprise Linux environments. The ideal candidate for this role should possess the following skills: - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Proficiency in Linux system administration, specifically RHEL and Ubuntu - Basic scripting knowledge (Bash or equivalent) Additional skills that would be beneficial: - Experience in VMware ESXi and vCenter administration - Familiarity with Nutanix cluster operations and troubleshooting - Knowledge of Storage systems such as Dell EMC Isilon, NetApp, PureStorage - Expertise in Commvault Backup configuration and maintenance - Understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Change, and Problem Management) - Automation experience with tools like Ansible Key responsibilities of the position include: - Managing and maintaining Linux-based systems and servers in an enterprise environment - Troubleshooting and resolving system issues, performance bottlenecks, and hardware failures - Collaborating with storage, backup, and virtualization teams for cross-platform integrations - Participating in patching, upgrades, and routine system maintenance - Documenting procedures, configurations, and changes accurately - Supporting a 24/7 production environment as part of an on-call rotation - Ensuring system security, backup, and redundancy strategies are implemented effectively Preferred certifications for the role include: - Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) / Engineer (RHCE) - VMware Certified Professional (VCP) - Commvault Certified Professional - Nutanix Certified Professional - NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA) This is a Full Time / Onsite position in the IT Infrastructure department with a requirement for Rotational Shifts.
