As a LIMS Lead, your role will involve the following key responsibilities: - **Development Leadership:** - Lead the design, development, and implementation of LIMS solutions. - Provide technical guidance and mentorship to a team of developers. - **Project Management:** - Plan, execute, and oversee LIMS projects from inception to completion. - Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. - **System Architecture:** - Design and develop the architecture for LIMS solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance. - **Customization and Integration:** - Customize LIMS to meet specific client requirements. - Integrate LIMS with other laboratory instruments and enterprise systems. - **Quality Assurance:** - Implement and maintain best practices for software development, including code reviews, testing, and documentation. - Ensure the highest standards of software quality and performance. - **Client Collaboration:** - Work closely with clients to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements. - Provide technical support and training to clients as needed. - **Continuous Improvement:** - Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in LIMS and software development. - Continuously seek opportunities to improve our LIMS solutions and development processes. Qualifications required for this role include: - **Education:** - Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Bioinformatics, or a related field. - **Experience:** - Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years in LIMS development. - Proven experience in leading software development teams and managing projects. - **Technical Skills:** - Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript. - Experience with LIMS platforms (e.g., LabWare, STARLIMS, LabVantage). - Strong understanding of database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL). - Knowledge of web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, Angular, React). - Familiarity with laboratory workflows and data management practices. - **Soft Skills:** - Excellent leadership and team management skills. - Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. - Effective communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. - Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and accuracy.
