Liferay Developer (Remote)

Responsibilities:

Contribute in developing the solution (Application / technical / Infrastructure as applicable) as a

individual and meeting functional / non-functional requirements and aligned to industry best practices.

Comfortable working independently and also as a member of a team. Highly motivated to take

independent responsibility as well as has the ability to contribute and be a productive team member.

Support Technical skill building (including hiring and training) for the team based on need of the

project.

Excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills is a must.

Role Profile:

Total 4+ years of Software development Custom Development, Administration, Deployment, Up-

gradation of Liferay with high volume and high-reliability requirements.

Design and Development of Portal using Liferay out of box portlets, Liferay MVC Portlets, Spring MVC

portlets, JSR 286 Portlet depending on the requirement.

Design and development of Liferay themes using the UI technologies like CSS, JS, Ajax, jQuery,

Bootstrap, Alloy UI.

Experience in integration with other systems, LDAP, SSO, Google Analytics, Solr/Elastic Search

Managing the Portal using strong Administrative and Deployment skills of Liferay.

Integrating Portal with different third-party applications using Web services/REST API

Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards.

Internal and External Quality Analysis for self and peer code.

Involved in Sprint Planning meeting, Daily Status update calls and Analysis on User Requirements.

Liferay Certification would be preferred.

Liferay Clustered configurations and performance improvement experience.

AWS server experience with docker/Kubernetes is must.

Minimum DevOps experience or Knowledge is required.

Required Technical Skill Set:

Liferay Portal 7.4/7.3/7.x Liferay DXP, Java, JSP, JS, JSR Portlet API, Spring, OSGi, Hibernate,

Service Builder, Alloy UI, Velocity Templates, AJAX, JSON, JQuery, Bootstrap, LDAP, Tomcat or any

application server, MS-SQL , MongoDB.

Working knowledge with Java Design Patterns.

Experience on multichannel Portal solution/project implementation/design experience.

Hands on Experience with Java Web Services, Spring, RESTful services.

Should have prior experience with agile model of software development.

Knowledge on jQuery, AlloyUI framework.

Good to have experience on Angular/React/Mobile first responsive design

Sound knowledge in Liferay Web Content Management system including workflow management tools

integration. Should be able to guide and set up authoring, rendering and content elevation process.

Experience is Code quality control using tools like BitBucket/SonarQube.

Hands on experience with different build environment and software configuration management tools

like: Maven, Gradle, Jenkins, SVN, Github etc.

Should be conversant with frameworks for Responsive Web Design like Bootstrap.

Experience on Portal Integration with Middleware and other products using REST Web Services or

API platforms.
