Job Description Business Head- Brand Licensing Position Title: Business Head Brand Licensing Reports To: Global Board of Directors / Group Chairman Direct Reports: C-level Executives – Licensing, Marketing, Finance, Legal, Operations Role Overview As the Business Head of Brand Licensing for one of the world’s most prestigious and influential brands, you will be the visionary leader responsible for expanding and monetizing brand equity through strategic licensing partnerships worldwide. The CEO will architect and drive global growth, ensuring that all licensed categories and geographies align with the brand’s heritage, innovation, and market leadership. This role demands a world-class business builder with a global mindset, exceptional strategic foresight, and the ability to orchestrate large-scale licensing ecosystems while safeguarding the brand’s identity and integrity. Key Responsibilities Global Strategy & Vision Define and lead the global brand licensing strategy across categories, territories, and distribution channels. Drive revenue growth, market expansion, and diversification through world-class licensing and brand extension programs. Anticipate and shape global consumer, retail, and cultural trends to position the brand at the forefront. Business Development & Partnerships Forge long-term strategic alliances with the most reputable global partners, licensees, and retailers. Lead multi-million/billion-dollar contract negotiations ensuring sustainable growth and brand alignment. Identify white spaces, new business verticals, and innovative licensing opportunities globally. Brand Stewardship & Compliance Act as the global custodian of the brand’s equity, DNA, and heritage in all licensed products and services. Ensure uncompromising compliance with brand guidelines, quality standards, and IP protection. Safeguard the brand’s reputation in every territory and category. Financial & Operational Leadership Own the P&L for the licensing division; deliver sustained top-line growth and bottom-line profitability. Implement robust governance, compliance, and risk management across all contracts and partnerships. Ensure operational excellence across all geographies, supported by state-of-the-art systems and processes. Leadership & Organization Building Inspire, mentor, and lead a diverse global leadership team across licensing, marketing, operations, and legal. Foster a culture of creativity, performance, and accountability. Attract and develop world-class talent with strong succession planning. Key Requirements Education: MBA/Global Business Degree from a top-tier institution strongly preferred. Experience: 20–25+ years of progressive leadership, with minimum 10 years at C-level in global licensing, consumer brands, entertainment, luxury, fashion, FMCG, or lifestyle industries. Proven track record of building multi-billion-dollar licensing businesses across multiple geographies. Deep expertise in IP management, international law, retail ecosystems, and brand monetization. Demonstrated success in complex negotiations with Fortune 500 companies, global retailers, and strategic partners.
