Job Description

Job Summary:The Librarian will be responsible for managing the college library's day-to-day operations, including resource management, cataloging, digital systems, and supporting students and faculty from engineering and management disciplines in their academic and research needs.Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and organize books, journals, e-resources, and reference materials relevant to Engineering & Management programs.

Manage digital library systems (like KOHA, OPAC, DSpace, etc.).

Provide research and reference support to students and faculty.

Coordinate acquisition of new books and resources in consultation with academic departments.

Maintain a library database and ensure proper classification and cataloging of all materials.

Conduct orientation sessions for new students on library usage and rules.

Oversee library staff and student assistants (if applicable).

Ensure compliance with AICTE/UGC/NAAC norms related to library infrastructure and records.

Qualifications & Skills:

Graduation

Minimum 2–3 years experience in an academic/technical institution preferred.

Familiarity with automated library management software.

Knowledge of referencing styles (APA, IEEE, etc.)

Strong organizational, communication, and IT skills.

Ability to assist in academic research and citation management.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
