As Legal Counsel at HSBC, you will be a part of the Global Legal GPS team, providing essential support to onshore GPS Business in negotiations and documentation queries. Your role involves engaging with key internal stakeholders such as Product, Implementations, and Sales to facilitate improved negotiation processes. **Key Responsibilities:** - Proactively provide negotiations-related support and escalate complex matters to line management or Global GPS Legal. - Offer succinct and value-adding negotiation guidance by identifying root causes and providing solutions. - Support a global business with diverse product and customer types, conducting gap analysis of standard terms against bespoke documentation. - Assist in identifying and managing risks associated with transactions, including negotiating various agreements such as Master Services Agreement and Service Agreements. - Review transactional documentation, make amendments to standard templates, and ensure adherence to GPS policies and procedures. **Qualifications Required:** - Qualified lawyer with 8-10 years of post-qualification experience in banking and finance law. - Maintain positive relationships with team members within GPS Legal, Implementations, and other relevant departments. - Collaborate effectively with Global GPS Legal and Implementations teams, providing necessary support in negotiations. - Ensure successful management of legal issues and adherence to guidelines in all transactions.,
