Position Overview

The Early Years Learning Support & Homeroom Teacher plays a central role in nurturing young learners by providing individualized academic, emotional, and social guidance. This role combines classroom leadership with targeted support, ensuring every child develops foundational skills in a warm, engaging, and well-structured environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Homeroom Responsibilities

  • Create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating classroom that supports exploration, independence, and joyful learning.
  • Plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons across literacy, numeracy, motor skills, and experiential learning.
  • Build daily routines that foster responsibility, wellbeing, and social interaction.
  • Observe and document student progress through portfolios, anecdotal notes, and developmental checklists.
  • Maintain continuous and positive communication with parents through meetings, updates, and conferences.
  • Establish clear behavior expectations rooted in kindness, respect, and positive reinforcement.

2. Learning Support Responsibilities

  • Provide targeted support to students needing additional scaffolding in language, numeracy, fine/gross motor skills, behavior regulation, or social-emotional development.
  • Collaborate with class teachers to design and implement Individual Learning Plans (ILPs/IEPs) where required.
  • Modify learning materials and classroom tasks to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Work closely with counsellors, special educators, and coordinators to support students with identified needs.
  • Track and document interventions, strategies, and progress to ensure transparency and continuity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the homeroom class and deliver age-appropriate literacy, numeracy, and play-based learning.
  • Provide individualized learning support and implement modified strategies for students who need additional help.
  • Observe, assess, and document children’s developmental progress.
  • Collaborate with teachers, coordinators, and special educators to support learning plans.
  • Maintain regular, positive communication with parents.
  • Ensure child safety, wellbeing, and adherence to early-years routines.
  • Participate in planning, training, and school events.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Psychology (Child or Educational Psychology preferred).
  • Experience in early years
  • Strong communication, empathy, and behavioural-support skills.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learners.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
