Job Description

As a Lead Data Modeler, you will play a crucial role in developing conceptual, logical, and physical data models to represent various data domains accurately, consistently, and at scale. Your responsibilities include defining data structures, relationships, and attributes aligned with business requirements, translating them into efficient database schema designs. Collaborating with stakeholders, analysts, and data consumers, you will ensure that data models meet business needs. It is essential to enforce data integrity and quality through defined constraints, validation rules, and data governance policies within the models. Your role also involves creating comprehensive documentation of data models and maintaining their accuracy as they evolve over time. Collaboration with data scientists to provide structured data for analytical and machine learning purposes is crucial. In addition, you will lead a project team of Data Modelers and work closely with customers on projects. Key Responsibilities: - Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models for various data domains - Define data structures, relationships, and attributes aligned with business requirements - Translate business requirements into database schema designs - Ensure data integrity and quality by defining constraints, validation rules, and data governance policies - Create comprehensive documentation of data models - Collaborate with data scientists to provide structured data for analytical and machine learning purposes - Lead a project team of Data Modelers - Work closely with customers on projects Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's Degree from a reputed Educational Institute - 10+ years of IT experience - 8+ years of relevant Data Modeling experience - Proficiency in data modeling tools such as ERwin, PowerDesigner, ER/Studio, or similar tools - Strong understanding of relational database concepts, normalization, and denormalization - Experience with various database systems like Vantage, SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail - Knowledge of Insurance industry domain is a plus - Experience with reference industry data models is an advantage - Strong communication and collaboration skills - Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment - Knowledge of data governance and compliance regulations is desirable - Willingness to travel both short-term and long-term if required Professional developments offered: - Training on the products - Opportunities to work on high-profile international projects Your role as a Data Modeler will be instrumental in establishing effective data management within the customer organization, ensuring organized, accessible, and valuable data for informed business decisions.
