Lead/ Staff Data Scientist

Role Overview: Agoda, an online travel booking platform, is looking for ambitious and agile data scientists to join their Data Science and Machine Learning (AI/ML) team based in Bangkok. As part of the team, you will have the opportunity to work on challenging machine learning and big data platforms, processing a massive amount of events daily and making predictions. Key Responsibilities: - Design, code, experiment, and implement models and algorithms to enhance customer experience, supply side value, business outcomes, and infrastructure readiness - Mine vast amounts of customer data and daily user-generated events to discover actionable insights for driving improvements and innovation - Collaborate with developers and various business owners to deliver high-quality daily results - Research, discover, and implement new ideas that can make a difference Qualifications Required: - 4+ years of hands-on data science experience - Excellent understanding of AI/ML/DL and Statistics, along with coding proficiency in related open source libraries and frameworks - Proficiency in SQL, Python, PySpark, and/or Scala - Ability to work independently, lead, and collaborate effectively in a team - Strong communication and interpersonal skills for a multicultural work environment Additional Company Details: Agoda's Data department in Bangkok is responsible for overseeing all data-related requirements within the company.
