Lead/ Sr Cloud Systems Engineer

As an Operations Engineer at our company in Pune City, Maharashtra, India, you will play a crucial role in developing the next generation of our Coupa Linux Platform. Your responsibilities will include: - Helping develop the Coupa Linux Platform, which serves as the OS abstraction to over 15,000 servers of various platforms - Architecting, implementing, and operationalizing new OS platforms to streamline package installation, manage end-of-life processes, patching/upgrades, and developing intuitive reports - Implementing and operationalizing new Cloud server provisioning to assist engineering teams in provisioning newly built OS servers - Participating in design review meetings for new features - Mentoring other operations engineers - Performing code reviews and ensuring the team produces quality code - Collaborating with the Coupa product development team to review features in upcoming releases and architect new features Requirements for this role include: - A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent work experience - Extensive knowledge of image management in AWS/Azure Cloud, VM bootstrap processes like cloud-init, and building images using packer - Deep understanding of OS configuration, hardening, and package management of RHEL derivatives - Experience authoring and debugging Chef Cookbooks on Linux - Proficiency in systems programming and automation in languages like bash, go, python, or ruby - Familiarity with git and CI/CD workflows in Github Actions and/or Jenkins - 7-10 years of professional experience in systems engineering - 2+ years of production system administration and SRE experience, taking platforms to production and sustaining them - Nice to have: Experience working on teams using agile methodologies, software development lifecycles, & design patterns - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Experience with FIPS, CIS benchmarks, and compliance standards like PCI, HIPPA, etc - Experience building container images and deploying services in Kubernetes - Experience building RPM packages from source and/or running custom repositories in Artifactory or similar Join our team and be a part of shaping the future of our technology platform!,
