Lead Software Engineer - UI React

As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Asset and Wealth Management, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives. You will be responsible for developing or enhancing UI components in line with business requirements and collaborating with internal technologists. Operating as a member of a Scrum development team, you will deliver technology solutions in an Agile fashion, including sprint planning, complexity analysis, standups, sprint retrospectives, and backlog grooming. You will design, analyze, code, test, and deploy applications/components to satisfy business requirements for large, complex projects while adhering to firm-wide architecture standards, risk management, and security policies. Additionally, you will provide production support coverage. Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills include formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience, experience with Web Tech such as React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS, experience with automated testing like react-testing-library, and experience working effectively with other team members. You should have the ability to communicate, engage, and influence, experience using continuous integration tools like Jenkins, managing assignments effectively, multi-tasking, and working within tight deadlines. Agile development experience, experience working in a globally distributed team, strong communication and documentation skills, proven history of building strong relations with developers for successful project delivery, and being a self-starter keen on learning new skills and driving best practices are also required. Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills include cloud engineering experience, which would be advantageous, particularly in AWS.,
