Job Description

As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and Community Banking, you play a critical role in an agile team dedicated to enhancing, building, and delivering trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. Your responsibilities include the following: - Lead a team of cloud engineers, promoting a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. - Collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders to propose and implement cloud solutions that align with current and future requirements. - Define and drive the technical target state of cloud products, ensuring they are in line with strategic objectives. - Participate in architecture governance bodies to guarantee compliance with best practices and standards. - Evaluate new cloud technologies, offering recommendations for future state architecture. - Oversee the design, development, and deployment of cloud-based solutions on AWS, utilizing services like EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS. - Implement DevOps practices, including Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with tools like Terraform and AWS CloudFormation, and Configuration Management with Ansible or Chef. - Establish and manage Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline. - Identify opportunities to automate issue remediation for enhanced operational stability of cloud applications and systems. - Conduct evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical qualifications. To be considered for this role, you should have the following qualifications, capabilities, and skills: - Formal training or certification in cloud engineering concepts with a minimum of 5 years of practical experience. - Proficiency in C# and .NET Core programming, with strong analytical and logical skills. - Experience in developing secure, high-performance, highly available, and complex APIs. - Familiarity with AWS services such as S3, SNS, SQS, Lambda, DynamoDB, and Micro-services architecture. - Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages. - Expertise in automation and continuous delivery methods. - Comprehensive understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle, particularly in cloud technologies. - Advanced knowledge of agile methodologies like CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security. - Demonstrated proficiency in cloud applications and technical processes in a specific discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.). - Practical experience with cloud-native technologies, specifically AWS services and architecture like VPC, IAM, and CloudWatch.
