Lead Software Engineer (Micro Services)

The Sr. Software Engineer plays a vital role in the Development Team at SS&C, focusing on the implementation of projects for clients of SS&C Bluedoor. As the Technical Lead, you will be responsible for developing technical design solutions that meet project requirements and align with the overall product vision and roadmap for the Bluedoor product. It is essential to ensure that solutions are developed in accordance with designs and coding standards. Your responsibilities will include providing technical input and sign off on Functional Specifications, producing High Level Designs and Design Principles, collaborating with project stakeholders to estimate builds, ensuring timely delivery of technical solutions, and supporting the testing team during peer tests and QA phases. Additionally, you will be expected to mentor and coach developers, lead software component reuse initiatives, and liaise with various stakeholders to discuss implementation issues and solutions. Key technical skills required for this role include programming experience with the .Net framework, familiarity with Microservices architecture, technical design experience in a complex .Net environment, SQL Server database design expertise, and proficiency with TFS and Visual Studio products. Experience with Agile development methodologies and knowledge of Financial Services applications, particularly Wealth Management, are desirable. In terms of personal skills, you should be able to work independently and self-start new projects, collaborate effectively with team members, develop innovative solutions to technical challenges, and mentor junior team members in development practices. A degree in Computer Science or a related discipline is required, and any Microsoft Certification would be considered a plus.
