Lead Software Engineer (Devops)

As a Lead Devops Engineer, you will be part of an amazing product team working on systems under significant load and storing vast amounts of data at the core of the platform - the Delivery Platform. You will play a crucial role in defining features, working on technical tasks independently, supporting colleagues with technical challenges, collaborating with product management, stakeholders, and designing, implementing, and documenting solutions. Your responsibilities will include architecture, design, development, testing of backend components, evaluating and selecting appropriate technologies, refining user stories, setting up development infrastructure, running, monitoring, and supporting production, participating in team ceremonies, and effectively communicating decisions and progress. To excel in this role, you need to be an ambitious team player with experience in developing and deploying production-grade services. Your professional background should include over 10 years of software development and deployment experience, with expertise in continuous integration, delivery, and automated testing practices. You should also possess at least 8 years of experience in DevOps practices, proficiency in distributed systems, and tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Puppet. Additionally, you should have a deep understanding of AWS cloud technologies, CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation tools, Python scripting, managing high-scale services, and working in 24/7 shifts.
