Lead Quality Engineer

As a Lead Quality Engineer with 5-8 years of experience, you will be responsible for partnering with regional stakeholders to plan and execute testing tasks. Your role will involve creating test plans and test cases based on business requirements, functional and technical specifications, and development standards for Nomura applications. You will provide intelligent time estimates for test planning and execution, ensuring the execution of test plans in accordance with the project schedule. Maintenance of existing test plans and test cases based on code changes and enhancements will also be a part of your responsibilities. It will be your duty to track issues, work with project managers and the development team to resolve issues, participate in JIRA review meetings during test cycles, and partake in project health checks. You must adhere to QA standard test document templates and methodology, work closely with development teams, and ensure effective status reporting of test execution with stakeholders. Incorporating automated testing tools to support the testing process and working on multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment will be essential aspects of your role. Key skills required for this position include a sound automation script development background and proficiency in utilizing tools such as Selenium and Java. Direct experience in QA testing focused on manual and automation testing, hands-on experience with Web Applications Testing and API-based Testing Approaches are crucial. Knowledge of scripting languages like JavaScript and Python would be an added advantage. Experience with Test Management Systems such as ALM/Zephyr, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work in a matrix organization with regional stakeholders where communication and collaboration are key are also necessary for this role.
