Lead Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Summary

As a Lead Quality Assurance Engineer, you will provide strategic technical leadership and drive quality excellence across the team and broader cross-functional initiatives. You will be responsible for architecting, implementing, and scaling high-quality software solutions establishing QA frameworks, standards, and processes. You will work with Engineering, Product, and Operations to shape quality strategy, influence architectural decisions, and lead QA initiatives. You will leverage technologies and automation frameworks to deliver SaaS products within a CI/CD environment while mentoring team members and driving quality throughout the organization.

Duties & Responsibilities

Define and execute comprehensive QA strategies and roadmapsEstablish and maintain QA automation frameworks, standards, and architectural patternsLead quality process design, implementation, and continuous improvement initiativesProvide effectual code review feedback to Development and QA team membersCollaborate with Engineering, Product and Operations to ensure all feature functionality have proper test coverage, and qualityUtilize expertise within and outside the team to promote quality releasesDevelop test plans, test cases, and test automation strategiesActively participate and encourage participation in agile ceremonies including daily stand ups, estimation, and backlog groomingSupport product releases and assist with 3rd level supportChampion quality throughout the development processAssist with manual test efforts, and coordinate cross-functional testing efforts for the team

Job Requirements

Education & Experience
BS degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent experience7+ years of automation or development experience3+ years of senior-level QA experience.Experience designing and implementing in-house test automation frameworks and toolsExperience developing or testing complex cloud solutionsExperience executing test automation at scaleExperience configuring & utilizing deployment automation and CI/CD pipelinesExperience with C# or other object-oriented programming languageExperience with web-based technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, and HTML5Experience with performance testingExperience with AI coding tools such as GitHub CopilotFamiliarity with SQL and relational databases such as SQL ServerFamiliarity with unit testing frameworks such as xUnit & Jasmine
