Job Description

Role Overview: You will be responsible for managing and enhancing high-value global patent portfolios by engaging with clients, leading end-to-end delivery management, coaching team members, and ensuring quality and efficiency through the use of AI-powered tools and processes. It is essential for you to demonstrate technical expertise in various technology domains such as Cloud Computing, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Robotics, Blockchain, etc. You should be capable of working independently and implementing solutions to improve portfolio quality effectively. Key Responsibilities: - Draft office action responses independently with strong arguments based on technology understanding, objection assessment, claims analysis, and recommendations for claim amendments. - Lead patent portfolio development strategies for global clients to enhance quality, scope, and alignment with business objectives. - Advocate for and utilize proprietary AI-based tools for improved patent drafting and prosecution. - Demonstrate operational excellence in daily work activities. - Contribute actively to team development, mentorship, client interactions, and internal initiatives to enhance delivery models and patent quality continuously. Qualifications Required: - Deep knowledge of US/EP/IN patent law including patent eligible subject matter, relevant sections, case laws related to patentability, novelty, and inventive step. - Strong organizational skills with the ability to anticipate and address project-related challenges promptly. - Proficiency in defining and refining processes/templates according to attorney/customer preferences and patent practice standards. - Excellent written and oral communication skills with experience in client-facing roles to effectively communicate technology narratives, portfolio strategies, and claim construction decisions. Additional Details: The company specializes in patent prosecution with a focus on US and/or EP jurisdictions. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 8 years of experience in drafting/reviewing over 200 Office Action responses for filing at USPTO/EPO/IPO. Prior experience in mentoring and coaching junior team members, understanding portfolio management practices, and familiarity with AI tools will be advantageous. Educational requirements include a B.Tech/M.Tech in engineering with branches in Computer Science, Electronics, or Telecommunications from reputed engineering colleges.
