Lead Java Developer

SmartDocs is looking for a Lead Java Developer to architect and lead the development of scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.The role involves driving technical excellence, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and mentoring the development team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of developers through the full software development lifecycle
• Design, develop, and maintain robust Java-based backend services using Spring Boot
• Collaborate with front-end teams to integrate APIs with React and Angular interfaces (good to have)
• Work with MongoDB for database design, querying, and optimization
• Ensure code quality, mentor junior developers, and drive best practices

What You Bring:

• Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot framework
• Experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design and development
• Expertise in Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• SaaS or Enterprise product development experience
• Strong problem-solving and leadership skills

Good to Have:

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field
• 7+ years of software development experience with minimum 2 years in a lead role
