Job Description

About the Role

Senior Data Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain scalable and secure data platforms leveraging
Snowflake
and
Python
.
Develop efficient
SQL
queries, data models, and ETL/ELT pipelines to support analytical workloads.
Establish and manage
RBAC controls
, virtual warehouses, and query optimization in Snowflake.
Integrate data from multiple sources, including
open-source
,
cloud
, and
third-party SaaS
platforms.
Implement and maintain
CI/CD pipelines
and
Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
using modern DevOps tools.
Collaborate with information security teams to ensure solutions adhere to organizational security and compliance standards.
Manage cloud
cost optimization
and ensure efficient resource utilization.
Support
hybrid (on-premises/cloud)
and
multi-cloud
data architectures.
Contribute to
Agile
team ceremonies, maintain Scrum artifacts, and occasionally assist with Scrum Master responsibilities.
Use
GitHub
or equivalent tools for source control and collaborative development.
Drive continuous improvement in data platform performance, scalability, and reliability.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Strong programming experience in
Python
and
SQL
.
In-depth understanding of
Snowflake
concepts including RBAC, virtual warehouses, query optimization, and advanced features.
Experience in
data platform engineering
, integration of cloud-native or third-party SaaS services.
Solid understanding of
distributed systems, APIs, cloud computing
, virtualization, and containerization.
Hands-on experience with
Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
tools and
CI/CD
practices.
Familiarity with
security best practices
and collaboration with InfoSec teams.
Proficiency in
Agile methodology
, including sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog management.
Experience working with
cloud-native data stores
and
multi-cloud architectures
.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to performance tuning and optimization.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field (or equivalent experience).
