Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Infrastructure Design & Implementation:
Lead the design and implementation of scalable infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
Develop and manage configuration management tools primarily with Chef.
Build, manage, and version infrastructure using Terraform.
Automation & Scripting:
Write and maintain automation scripts in Python to streamline infrastructure tasks.
Collaboration & Leadership:
Collaborate with cloud architects and DevOps teams to ensure highly available, secure, and scalable systems.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
Performance Monitoring & Optimization:
Monitor infrastructure performance and provide optimization recommendations.
Security & Compliance:
Ensure compliance with best practices for security, governance, and automation.
CI/CD Pipelines:
Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines with infrastructure integration.
Incident Management:
Support incident management, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for infrastructure issues.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Strong hands-on experience in:
Chef (Cookbooks, Recipes, Automation)
Python (Scripting, automation tasks, REST APIs)
Terraform (Modules, state management, deployments)
Familiarity with Windows administration and automation.
Solid understanding of CI/CD processes, infrastructure lifecycle, and Git-based workflows.
Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Good to Have:

Experience with AWS.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certifications in AWS, Terraform, or DevOps tools.
Experience in hybrid cloud or multi-cloud environments.
Familiarity with container orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
