Job Description

Role Overview: You will be responsible for developing applications and selecting appropriate technical options to optimize application development, maintenance, and performance. Your role will involve interpreting application/feature/component designs, coding, debugging, testing, documenting, and communicating product/component/feature development stages. You will also be validating results with user representatives, integrating and commissioning the overall solution, and selecting appropriate technical options for development. Additionally, you will influence and improve customer satisfaction by setting FAST goals for yourself and your team, as well as providing feedback on FAST goals of team members. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot (Reactive) - Build and maintain microservices and integrate them via Kafka for asynchronous communication - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features - Implement unit, integration, and functional tests to ensure high-quality code - Follow Behavior Driven Development (BDD) using Cucumber for automated acceptance testing - Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and agile ceremonies - Use GitLab for version control, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps workflows - Ensure best practices in coding, testing, deployment, and security Qualification Required: - 6+ years of professional experience in backend development - Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot (Reactive) - Solid understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful APIs - Hands-on experience with Kafka (event streaming platforms) - Proficiency in GitLab (including CI/CD pipeline setup and management) - Strong testing mindset: Unit testing, Functional testing - Experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber - Familiarity with agile development methodologies Additional Details: The company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Java Backend Developer with over 6 years of hands-on experience in designing and implementing scalable backend solutions. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Spring Boot (Reactive), microservices architecture, and event-driven systems using Kafka. Familiarity with BDD, unit and functional testing, and GitLab CI/CD practices is essential. Good to have skills include experience with containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, ELK), and exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).,
