Job Description

Role Overview: You will act creatively to develop applications and select appropriate technical options to optimize application development, maintenance, and performance. This includes employing design patterns, reusing proven solutions, and accounting for others" developmental activities. Your key responsibilities will include interpreting application/feature/component design, coding, debugging, testing, documenting, and communicating product/component/feature development stages. You will also validate results with user representatives, integrate and commission the overall solution, and select appropriate technical options for development. Additionally, you will optimize efficiency, cost, and quality, influence and improve customer satisfaction, and set FAST goals for yourself and your team. Key Responsibilities: - Interpret application/feature/component design and develop the same in accordance with specifications - Code, debug, test, document, and communicate product/component/feature development stages - Validate results with user representatives; integrate and commission the overall solution - Select appropriate technical options for development, such as reusing, improving, or reconfiguring existing components or creating own solutions - Optimize efficiency, cost, and quality - Influence and improve customer satisfaction - Set FAST goals for self/team and provide feedback on FAST goals of team members Qualification Required: - Proven ability to deliver high-quality applications at scale - Very strong programming skills and knowledge of building APIs using modern OO languages, preferably Java, SOLID principles, SOA, HTTP, and REST - Excitement for the cloud/AWS and the opportunities it brings - Effective communication and partnership skills across engineering to maximize inner sourcing opportunities and reduce waste - Advocate for quality and ability to lead the team leveraging approaches such as Pair Programming, TDD, and BDD Additional Details: RP02 (SDE3) Level 3 Senior Software Development Engineer - (Services) (Commodity) Job Description: As part of a self-organized Services engineering team, you will design and develop software features for credit card consumers. Your focus will be on a major portion of existing or new team software. You will innovate within your team, initiative area, and contribute within your technical domain to achieve the goals and vision articulated by Product Management and your management chain. Requirements for the role include a proven ability to deliver high-quality applications at scale, very strong programming skills, knowledge of building APIs using modern OO languages, excitement for the cloud/AWS, effective communication and partnership skills across engineering, and advocacy for quality. Experience with working in a complex regulated environment and with the cloud/AWS is advantageous.,
