Lead I - Software Testing- SDET

As a Software Development Engineer in Test 2 (SDET 2) at UST in Chennai, you will play a key role in ensuring adherence to test practices and processes to improve test coverage. You will be responsible for creating test estimates and schedules, identifying business processes, conducting risk analysis, and ensuring comprehensive test coverage. Your contributions will include producing test results, defect reports, test logs, and reports for evidence of testing, as well as publishing RCA reports and preventive measures. Reporting progress of testing and suggesting alternate methods for revenue savings for clients will also be part of your responsibilities. Your role will involve participating in reviews, walkthroughs, demos, and obtaining sign-off by stakeholders for test design. You will prepare test summary reports for modules/features, analyze, prioritize, identify gaps, and create workflow diagrams based on requirements/user stories. Additionally, you will manage projects, participate in test management, and identify end-to-end business critical scenarios with minimal support. You are expected to possess skills such as the ability to create and manage a test plan, prepare schedules based on estimates, track and report progress, identify test scenarios, carry out root cause analysis, and capture and report metrics. Knowledge of estimation techniques, testing standards, identifying the scope of testing, RCA techniques, test design techniques, and test methodologies will be essential for your success in this role. In collaboration with developers, product managers, and other team members, you will design, implement, and maintain automated test frameworks, scripts, and tools. Your responsibilities will include analyzing and improving code quality, developing test plans, cases, and scenarios, executing tests, performing performance tests, identifying and tracking bugs, and enhancing testing efficiency and quality through process improvements. Your expertise with test automation frameworks like Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, software development life cycle, agile methodologies, problem-solving, and communication skills will be crucial for achieving success in this role at UST.
