Description
Role Overview: You will act creatively to develop applications and select appropriate technical options optimizing application development maintenance and performance by employing design patterns and reusing proven solutions. You will interpret the application/feature/component design to develop the same in accordance with specifications. Additionally, you will code, debug, test, document, and communicate product/component/feature development stages. You will be responsible for validating results with user representatives, integrating and commissioning the overall solution, and influencing and improving customer satisfaction. Setting FAST goals for self/team and providing feedback to FAST goals of team members will also be part of your role. Key Responsibilities: - Interpret the application/feature/component design to develop the same in accordance with specifications - Code, debug, test, document, and communicate product/component/feature development stages - Validate results with user representatives; integrate and commission the overall solution - Select appropriate technical options for development such as reusing, improving, or reconfiguring existing components or creating own solutions - Optimize efficiency, cost, and quality - Influence and improve customer satisfaction - Set FAST goals for self/team; provide feedback to FAST goals of team members - Adhere to engineering process and standards (coding standards) - Adhere to project schedule/timelines - Identify technical issues during the project execution - Identify defects in the code - Identify defects post-delivery - Identify non-compliance issues - Complete mandatory compliance trainings on time - Review code for team and peers - Create/review templates, checklists, guidelines, and standards for design/process/development - Create/review deliverable documents, design documentation, and requirements - Define and govern configuration management plan - Ensure compliance from the team - Review and create unit test cases, scenarios, and execution - Review test plan created by the testing team - Provide clarifications to the testing team - Advise Software Developers on design and development with a deep understanding of the business problem - Learn about the customer domain to identify opportunities to provide valuable additions to customers - Manage delivery of modules and/or manage user stories - Perform defect RCA and mitigation - Identify defect trends and take proactive measures to improve quality - Create and provide input for effort estimation for projects - Consume and contribute to project-related documents, share point libraries, and client universities - Review reusable documents created by the team - Execute and monitor the release process - Contribute to the creation of design (HLD, LLD, SAD)/architecture for Applications/Features/Business Components/Data Models - Clarify requirements and provide guidance to the development team - Present design options to customers - Conduct product demos - Set FAST goals and provide feedback - Understand aspirations of team members and provide guidance - Ensure team engagement in the project - Take relevant domain/technology certifications Qualifications Required: - 6+ years of professional experience in backend development, with proven experience in a lead role - Deep expertise in TypeScript, Node.js, and AWS - Able to design, create, and implement solutions that deliver customer outcomes - Expert in RESTful APIs or GraphQL - Expert in cloud technologies like AWS - Proactive and able to work with less direction - Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills - Exceptional leadership, mentorship, and communication skills About UST: UST is a global digital transformation solutions provider.
